Candy Carapella is the Printing Manager for VMS

Describe your role at VMS and how long have you worked here?
I am the Printing Manager for VMS. I started working here in 1999.

What's been one of your proudest moments working at VMS?
My proudest moment at VMS was when we purchased the CST screen imaging system. It was the first large piece of equipment that I had a hand in picking out for the screening department and it improved the entire process.

What is your favorite thing about VMS?
My favorite thing about VMS is the people and culture. We really have a fantastic group of dedicated employees working for VMS. I also like seeing all of the different products and services that we now offer our customers that we didn't 20 years ago.

What is a fun or unique fact about yourself?
I have built and sold over 30 new homes in the Portage County area. One of those homes was featured in the 2006 single site parade of homes for Summit/Portage County.

What do you like to do in your free time? 
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also like bowling, visiting local breweries, and preparing for halloween.

If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
I would like to meet my grandfather, he passed away when my dad was 13.

Where is the best place you've traveled to and why?
The best place that I have traveled to was Punta Cana. We stayed there for 10 days and it was the most relaxing and stress free time. We also had some family join us for a few days.

Who inspires you?
My mom has really inspired me. She has taught me that no matter what happens in your life that you can move forward and still live life to its fullest.

What is your favorite memory?
My favorite memory is of a vacation to Buck Creek when I was a kid. It was the only vacation that my entire family was able to take together. We rented 3 cabins that were on the lake and spent most of the days out on the boat.

Do you have any pets?
I have 3 dogs. A Welsh Corgi named Surwen, a miniature Australian Shepherd named Maxim and a Pomeranian/Havanese named Sammie.

What kind of music do you like?
I guess my go to music would be classic rock and alternative rock. I really like listening to just about any kind of music, it just depends on what mood I'm in.
